It is impossible to determine the depth of the fence posts without identifying the height of the actual fences. The fence posts are dependent on the fences itself since the depth of the former is relative to the latter. As basis, average height fences need 3 to 4 feet deep fence posts. Based on the average depth, you will have an idea what you need depending on how short or tall your fences are. The fence posts ensure the stability of the fence which is why it is necessary. For further support, cement is also poured into the fence hole.

Should the Fence Touch the Ground?

It depends on the primary purpose of the fence. The fence meant to keep away pests and insects, are designed to touch the ground. If so, then the fence can be in contact with the ground. These fences have sufficient protection against rust and can survive the moisture without incurring damage. However, not all fences can touch the ground because every fence is unique in itself. To ensure that your fence can last long and be able to serve its purpose, get fences which are for appropriate use.

Yes, weather does affect fence installation. Extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain, humidity, too high temperature, and too low temperature can all hinder the installation process. These circumstances may cause the materials to swell or contract, and it may even fail the curing of cement. But because we don’t want to compromise the quality of installation, we would rather suspend work during these times. Aside from that, we also consider the weather because our team are also likely to have trouble working in such unfavorable conditions. In case of work suspension, we can guarantee that we will inform you immediately.
